I wanted to share a picture of the antique dry sink we just finished. We've had this for a while but it was in pretty rough shape so we did some work on it and this is the finished piece. I love how it turned out.

Carla, that piece is amazing!

I would LOVE to know how you achieved that look and finish.

It is bee-yoo-tee-full!

OH it's so beautiful. Doesn't it make you feel good to look at your handiwork. I love the jugs and little chair you have displayed on the dry sink.

Hubby and I bought one at our local auction and paid $30 dollars for it. Mine has a little shelf attached to it and it's one of my favorite pieces.

You did a wonderful job on the refinishing!happy

Thank you! I put a coat of black on first, then a coat of dark mustard. Then, I sanded (alot) and stained the whole piece with a honey gel stain. A darker stain would look great, too, but, I had the honey so that's what I used. I'm pleased with it. Thanks for your compliments!

I like that, you did a very nice job on finishing it! Those dry sinks are pretty neat. You seem to have the knack for just the right finish to your pieces.

Carla, you did an great job on fixing up the sink. It looks so solid too.

I have a lil blue and straw chair identical to yours that belonged to my Grama so it was so fun to see it

on your sink.

That is simply gorgeous!!! I've been dying for a dry sink for ages. Great job on the finish! I have a cabinet I"m going to try to do this way, and I already have the black and mustard paint....never thought of the honey stain idea....way cool!
