Happy Fall, Everyone!
I know you all are full swing into your fall decorating by now, but we at Country Sampler
are already thinking about Christmas--2009! We are in search of
scouting photos of homes that are decorated for Christmas, as we will
have our teams of photographers out and about from November through
early January shooting homes for our November 2009 issue. If you would
like to have your home considered for a holiday photo shoot this year,
please e-mail us a link to your holiday photos on the web or on a blog,
or mail us a CD. Please do not e-mail photos unless the total file size
is 3 MB or less.
Last year's photos are acceptable in order for us to get an idea of
how your home is decorated for the holidays, unless your home has
changed considerably since or your holiday decorating will be very
different this year. Or, if you decorate early, we'd love to have
current photos. We will not publish those photos; they will be used
only for possible shoot consideration.
To be considered, we'd like to see about 20-25 (or more) photos of
your home, which would include overall room shots of each room and some
close-up shots of groupings. It's most important for us to be able to
see entire rooms to get a feel for the main furnishings, flooring and
general layout. If a room is large and you can't capture the whole area
in one shot, taking several shots of the room is advisable. Please
send us your submissions by December 5, although the earlier, the
better, and include your complete contact information.
