Sorry everyone, no pictures yet! I am waiting for DH to return so we can start working again. So far, we have almost all the plywood down, just a few more areas to go! We didn't even have to use the felt, so I was able to return it, and get some masks, my nose was burning from all the sawdust. So, after that, then we can put the padding down and then the actual flooring. I am contemplating when to start painting the walls, this week is going to be so busy, I don't know if I'll get much done. I am SO happy though, it's one step closer to getting there!

I have hung a few things in the craft room, but haven't gotten much more put away. We have some of the tools in here, and it's kinda awkward to work around those.

I have a feeling, it will be a back and forth kinda thing. Painting, putting the flooring in, taking the furniture in and out, etcetera.

I don't even want to mention to him that I'm contemplating painting the linoleum yet. LOL! I think he thinks we have enough to do, but to me it makes sense. I may mention it, I'll wait and see. I do have a long list ahead of me, but it's all starting to really come together now. I have several makeovers to get completed, so I am patiently (tapping feet) awaiting DH to return.

So, overall, it has been a great weekend!

Good morning everyone! Well, we got alot done, so try to visualize here. Obviously the flooring is not in yet, but it soon will be! This is what our living room upstairs looks like, and the hallway. The stairs are there too, this will be the last thing to do. Also keep in mind, we will be putting beadboard in all the rooms next year with new, wider trim. I also need to take my blinds down and wash them, boy are they dusty!

I am including a photo taken on Halloween. The Wolfman is in the middle and his victims include me on the left, and my Mom on the right.

Well, I'll be getting the paint on Friday, so I can start that next week. I only work two days then, so that's when I'll do it. I also just got asked to come on at my job full time, so I am thrilled because that means I'll have two weekends off per month! I will relish that. I feel very blessed.

God is good! So, tomorrow when I get home, wall washing time!

Good morning everyone!

Last night, I went and picked up several shades that could potentially work. I got 4 shades of the taupe/browns, and 3 shades of the red/cranberry colors. So... I painted some swatches on some cardboard, and when I get home, hopefully DH will have looked at them. I haven't looked yet, because I want to wait until I can really focus on it. Wow! Who knew there could be SO many shades... it was hard to choose, so whichever ones look great together, will be the deciding factor.

And as an added bonus, the paint happens to be on sale, which is nice! Stay tuned for the continuing color saga... LOL!

Have a blessed day everyone!

Well, we actually agreed on the colors! Can you believe it? LOL! I painted the first coat today in the hallway and also the wall behind my pantry from the kitchen. I will have to wait until Monday before I can dive into it further. I have to work this weekend. So far, it looks pretty good.

We have most of the plywood screwed in now, that was quite a task. The screw gun didn't work like DH thought it would, I thought he was going to throw it across the room. He was frustrated, and took it back.

I did take a little side trip out today. I haven't been anywhere for a little while, so I stopped on a hunch and was glad I did!

I'll post some pics later on, but I got a HUGE lantern, I am definately thinking a light source somewhere here!

I also got a few more goodies~ a sleigh bell strap to hang, a good sized Santa, he is a lithograph piece, very cool! Oh, and I found the cutest redware pot with a feather Christmas tree on the front! I am thinking of putting a smaller tree in it. I was just so tickled, and I can't wait to start putting things together. My head is spinning with tons of ideas.

I want to craft right now, but there just isn't much time for that, there's too much to do. But... it's coming along. Hope you all don't get bored with this, but it's sure a thrill for us! Thanks for listening to my rambling.

Good morning everyone!

Well, we are making tremendous strides here! We have most all the hallway and even partly into the living room done!

I have painted four areas in addition to the other areas I painted prior. Today, I'll be doing a second coat in these same areas, and then we can continue to lay the rest of the flooring. I also painted my living room curtain hardware. It's now black.

My, what a difference this is all making! I had trouble with taking down some things from last time I painted, I guess it didn't cure long enough so some of my shelves stuck. This time I guess I'll wait awhile before I hang anything. I have to get some more rollers, so I'm going to ask them there how long should you wait before you hang things.

I do think it has to do with the type of paint you use, like eggshell verses matte.

Anyhow, another busy day ahead of me.

Have a blessed day!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement!

Well Glenna, I have always been a very driven person! I guess I kinda take after my Dad in that respect. I'm up at the crack of dawn and when there's stuff to be done, I kinda map it out in my head, and jump in! LOL! It 's not always foolproof, but I tend to get stuff done in between.

I got the second coat done on all the walls again. It is really looking good. The only bummer part is we don't have the trim on since we're going to replace it when we also put in the beadboard. He said we may not wait as long to do that, but we'll see.

Tomorrow he is hoping to get the rest of the one area that is giving him trouble in the hall, it has alot of angles, and it has been a bear for him, but he only has two more pieces to do and then we can move on.

Meanwhile, I have a big shelf that is going in our bedroom, I painted it a sorta antique white and it has been waiting for me to stain it, so I did that.

I learned that putting felt pieces behind shelves and things will help things not stick to the walls, so I have plenty of that now. I'll probably let it dry really well anyhow, and I still have one wall in the dining room, three other walls in the living room area, mainly in the entry area by the stairs and the kitchen to do yet.

Are you still with me here? LOL! I will wait to do the three walls by the entry since we have to tear the stairs out, and put the bullnose down yet, I don't want to wreck my fine paint job!

Then I can finally start getting things figured out from there. Beyond that, I still have my downstairs family room to paint again, and then the three bathrooms.

But, I also have plans to have fun making some things too, so this will be an ongoing thing for awhile. I have slipcovers to make, curtains, more makeovers on some things, a LONG list of things to be done!

Hope I didn't make you all too tired here, but I am hopeful that this COULD be done around Thanksgiving time. I am meaning the floor part, LOL!

I'll be excited to show you all pictures as soon as I can.

Well you all, just another update here. My DH is having trouble with the areas where our railings are, SO, his friend is going to come over to help, hopefully between the two of them, they can get this done. They have the same type of thing in their house and they installed hardwood not too long ago.

Plus, we have to get a new saw for doing our stairs, and that's going to have to wait til next week. So, after I pouted a bit, I just said, you know I can still do something.

SO~ I finished painting the dining room, which still needs another coat which I'll do shortly. Then, I'll have him help me move the couch out of the room so I can get my big cupboard in here to paint.

I AM determined to get something accomplished here! LOL!

The tree will be going up, regardless if the floor is done or not, it's just a small delay and it will soon be done. I have some bells rusting outside as I'm typing. I want to make some garland for the trees.

I also told him I want him to hang the shelf I finished redoing, so he knows I have things for him to do aside from all the other.

So that is where we are at the moment.

I tell you, I AM tired! LOL! We got the elusive areas done, and are in the home stretch so to speak! We'll see what we get done today. The stairs will be last, and they will take awhile. Now because we got the saw, we are saving all over again for the beadboard, so it will be awhile yet.

I don't mind waiting I guess, I am getting better with that.

I did my test with the linoleum, not really sure if I like the way it turned out. I may just scrap that idea for now until I do some further testing. I have a big rug that I can put down, it's not that bad, I think I am just ready for a change.

I haven't started the cabinet. My DH has become somewhat opinionated, he isn't wanting me to paint it, because he likes the dark red. We'll see.

I am glad though, our friend is going to bring his big ladder over soon and he will do the cutting in for me on the big wall that's off of the stairwell. I am relieved because I am not fond of heights, although I am ok as long as I don't look down. He complimented my painting skills~ he's a professional painter.

It sometimes doesn't happen fast enough, but you know there's always a snag somewhere along the way, I also know my husband, and he wants to do it the right way, so it's alright.

Well thanks Dan!

We are actually. We only have the front half of the living room left to do now. Hopefully, tonight (if I cross my fingers) or tomorrow we will get it finished, then he just has to put the bullnose down.

I kinda had a full day, most of them are, but between schooling, this, and daily stuff, I had to take our dog in to see the vet again for his skin allergies.

I learned that I can get his antibiotics filled at Walmart for a great price! At least SOMETHING with him can save a little $$$. This has been the worst year for him ever. He is allergic to everything! He is such a good boy though, we just try to keep him as comfortable as we can. So, just thought I'd pass that on to anyone, you don't have to have prescriptions there or anything like that, they will take them from your vet. I was just so happy when she told me that.

Well you all, we have one small area and then it's done! YIPPEE!!!! I can't wait for my DH to get up today! I just sat in there, trying to imagine where I will be putting stuff, finally!

I promise I'll post some pics soon, even though I'll be tweaking for awhile I'm sure! I just don't even know where to start, I'm telling you, it's just such a thrill, you all just have no idea. It still won't be totally done for awhile, but I can deal with that.

So, just wanted to give you all an update, yet again!

Thanks for all the encouragement, it's greatly appreciated!
